Seed - IF Mrs.Lau planted a seed in me

Second IF "SEED" entry.click here for my first entry.
A Special thanks to my Art teacher in high school..

I never realized I can draw until I went to high-school back home (K.L Malaysia)
Mrs. Lau was my Art Teacher who always compliment my work, encourage me to inspire and draw, she always give me extra time and patient with me, she even let me draw a mural in school, I really enjoy art class then.

I remembered during my Primary years(Grade 1 to 6), my form Teacher never post up my drawing, it's always the top students get picked! ? I am kind of disappointed with this teacher for not been nice and fair!
My sister who are the wiser said:"Not exactly! Your Primary form teacher just planted seeds on other kids, and Mrs.Lau planted her SEED on you". Indeed.........
I am so thankful to Mrs.Lau who motivate me and help me build my self-esteem, since then I was a different person, not by much, but I live with Believe! Thank You! Mrs.Lau and my sister's.

Side note: 3 of my sisters always think I am a great artist! (Unfortunately I can't afford go to art school after my high-school, due to family financial status. Now, I know I have lots to improve to become a great artist) They too continuesly planting Seeds in me and encourage me to draw by support me tools to draw, babysitting my boy etc... yes, I am the lucky child..time to plant seed on my boy! Opps! Thanks to my husband, he is terrific too!

For Today exercise too......

what a great story! i am glad you had a teacher that encouraged you ( i had one as well)

love the illustration and the illustration of the patchwork elephants too!

also - you asked about sumi ink - i believe both india ink and sumi ink are made from soot. i bought my sumi ink at a store in new york but you can find art supply stores online that carry them (like dickblick.com and utrechtart.com)
