景色怡人 Autumn in Calgary

秋天了、今天的天氣好極了，老公趁好天帶我、我阿爸同仔仔到公園行，而阿仔就踩單車。

到公園時、D風一陣一陣輕輕吹、高高掛在樹枝上黄金色的葉子一片片往下飄，再加清新的空氣和恬靜的環境，令我們都能享受這種大自然的美景，真快樂！所以讓我把這美丽的大自然拍下請大家分享下！Fall is here, I love Fall, it's so pretty, Fall in Calgary is different to compare with East coast (Toronto, Ontario, lots of Maple trees grow there not in Calgary) Most trees here will only turn into yellowish colors, only some in red, but it's still gorgeous. Look, look at the beauty of nature, we are blessed! but soon will be Winter, hmmmm not really looking forward!

home make cendol

I love Cendol, ever since living in Canada, there is no place I can find to ease my cendol craving.
When I was on vacation in Vancouver, my brother took me to an Indonesian Food court, Auntie Cheng is really a good cook, her Rendang, Laksa, kuih and her Cendol is top quality food, the taste is exact the same as in KL food store, I love her food, I highly recommended her store to all who love Malaysian food over here.

But when I return to Calgary, I crave for Cendol especially during hot summer day, so, I did some search and luckily I found the main ingredient(Hun Kwe-green bean flour) in Vancouver year ago. las I was in cooking mood and start make my own Cendol, the result is .. not bad, but there are room for improvement! Here is my home make CENDOLHome make Cendol1)This is the Hun Kwe flour I bought in Vancouver, I tried to use green bean flour that I bought in Asian supermarket here, product of Taiwan, but the texture was no good, the dough did not got harden, when I use Hu Kwe Flour, I have no problem. I wonder Why? no clue..2)Weight out all ingredient.mixture. Hun Kwe flour, Lye water, salt and corn starch, pandan juice and water. I put a little bit of icing sugar to give it a notch!3)Cook mixture in a saucepan, low-med temperature, stirring all the time until it start thickens, turns shiny and begins to boil. Keep the mixture warm, or it will get harden before you press in the mold.4) Press dough through the cendol-maker (I use stainless steel strainer) with quick short strokes (keeping dough warm all the time) --->>into a basin of ice water,Leave the cendol pieces to harden for 10 minutes before rinsing several times to prevent them from sticking to each other.5)Ready to serve with Nyonya Gula Melaka - syrup, crush ice, coconut milk (you may substitute with brown sugar, but less rich in flavor.)

現今做父母甚艱難！Today parent

Bird watchingMy boy loves watching birds, influenced by his 11 years old cousin's Courtney, ever since, he loves borrow Birds book from the library to be able to identify birds in Canada, so far he surprise me how much he know about the name of many birds we watch in the park, we bought one book for him so he can keep it !仔仔受了佢Courtney表姐影響喜歡看鳥，人仔細細，也沒學識看字就向Library借關於鳥的書睇！但是咪睇佢小、每次見到鳥係附近、他可以打開書的 其中一頁來確認那一隻/一堆鳥㗎！都好準㗎(有時係表砠同佢睇過D書同講過哦)！不過也難的佢可以記得唔同烏類的特精，而有D鳥常見或已見過一次就會記得 D名可以立刻講出末添！唔錯！好安慰！

好過好似今日佢同D過份活躍D同学仔玩時，好似被人欺負。初時玩的好好、後來這三個小精靈朋友仔追迫佢，又拔D草同 拿石仔向仔仔掉，阿仔見到三個迫攻，阿仔開始逃避，但D小精靈朋友仔唔罷休紕續推佢，我見如此，点可以唔理咧? 佢太斯文了，大soft lar！ 我知我知道我要阿仔自已學防護、建立獨立，但見到時我又唔放心睇唔過眼，我走過去叫佢哋play nice，唔好 pick on 佢，佢哋才慢慢stop了。而阿仔就唔出声好似好 timid好尷尬，之後我說時间到了佢就跟我走。
當我問佢發生什么事，有事要同大人講或同D朋友仔講play nice or don't play and 学吓防身之術, 但佢又唔钟意我干涉佢的同学仔的嘢！唔多出聲，只係話ok好尷尬，我應該點去coach 我仔呢???
我担心如果我見唔到咧？佢咪好惨！我同daddy講番事情的經過，想到也會有心臟病！現今做父母甚艱難！

所 以今日佢daddy同我帶佢去park看鳥舒緩吓放鬆吓，多謝佢旣細表姐Courtney的教導 (而Courtney也只係十一歲) 佢有這看鳥 healthy hobby，再加上佢有我二姐佢旣Two姨媽常陪佢玩補番啦！) yeee?? 係咪應該係我要放鬆吓咧??
Today parent is facing a lot of challenge bringing up a child, I am facing some challenges now.
My son being pick on at school park, two to three over active kids pick on him, throw tiny rock and green grass on him saying pretend he is a little monster, they want to hunt him down, my boy got scare and didn't know how to stop them, I step in a asked the kids to play nice, (but my boy is timid or uncertain when I step in and help out, probably look too protective or embarrasses?) and I am very upsad, I teached him to talk to them to play nice, playing rough may get hurt, come to mommy when this situation happen. My boy is too easy and soft, so hard for me to watch my baby is facing the real world...... How should I help him learn ??Created a video clip on my boy ........ so easy to do, try it out!

結婚十一年周年

十一年前的今天(九月二十八日)至現在的今天一共是四千零十五天，也等於十一年的時間，這數字是代表我們的結婚已到達十一年之長，我們的結婚十一年周年就在今天!
We sometime celebrate our long lasting love in any day, we are blessed that we are healthy and so far are happily marriage (not when we fight lar, or I can't get my way lor!) The most blessing and to celebrate is our beloved son. But today is a very special day to remember, and to celebrate because it is our 11th wedding anniversary, and still counting!

Hello there..
Let me say............ I am back to my blogspot.......
I will be spending lots of time with my family, my kitchen, housework and hobbies..just because I am off work for good, lots of time...
I say to myself life is matter of CHOICE, let make a choice! The Part-time Work just ended last week.
I believe sometime things happened for a reasons, perhaps it is time for change. So, I go with the flow, I am looking forward for a change....
Mean time, my focus is my Boy, this little fellow will start Kindergarten on this Thursday (New school year start this week). Yahoo,, first day at school, we are exited and looking forward...

For now, let me share what I've being doing..... My new experiment's----> Crêpe
I love Crepe, and it's very expensive to eat out, so I tried to make it myself, after a few experiment, no sweat, I did it! Although I don't have all the equipment, hey, nothing will stop me going when I am in mood with food..... the result is close to perfect..Mangoes pudding is another experiment in my kitchen. I thought I never like pudding until My friend's Terry brought a cup for me, and I quite like it, plus my sisters love mangoes pudding, so I got recipe from her and tried out myself, after a few trial and modification, YES! another successes.............Lavender.
this Lavender was cut out from my garden.
After visited Vancouver, I see Lavenders almost every way, it's so beautiful and smell good too, so I came home and planted some in my garden. They are more flowers in the garden, will post up later.

I am Home now, I am back to Calgary, back to my own bed, my kitchen, my garden and my regular routine for weeks now..

After weeks of outside of home and on the road (vacation itinerary), eating outside food, staying in motel sleeping strange bed,,,, I missed my own so much (even bringing my own pillow along still no help).

Now everything back to normal, yet I kind of missed the no work, no schedules and wake up every morning just taking the time kind of lifestyle. (aii,, who doesn't!)

The worse things is now I am making a very critical decision,, about my WORK! I am pushed to the wall! my patient is running out..

Sorry I have not reply any of your comments, firstly is because hubby reconfigure the computer and secondly the work is really bother me, I am taking a short break here, until things settle, I will be back.

Vacation in B.C

hey, I am in Vancouver now, spending my vacations with my dear, my boy and my sister in law's Miranda family. We rented a van for 9 days, just fit for 2 family. Drove 10 hours from Calgary to Vancouver.
We've been to Tofino, Vancouver Island for 4 days (went on the ferries then drove 5 hours and reach the Cabin we rent, along the road, we stop by some attraction places), the last 4 days in Tofino, we spend time just with nature, Vancouver Island has many Provincial Park, Tofino is one of the attration areas where people come here Surf or hike and relax, we stay in Urqelet, a very small towns, not a shopping town, but if you like nature and explore the park, this will be a place. Mr. BT were our Itinerary planner, thanks to him who take so much time to search the places and let BB and the cousins appreciate the beauty of nature.
We only been to 3 hiking trails (there are so many trails), and we saw all kind of plants, huge trees, birds, deers, and a Black Bear eating berries on the road (we were in the car looking at the bear, this animal can be harmful). We also went on the beaches, collect shells and walk along the coast (the water is quite cold to swim, but boy love it), and near the beach we saw Star fishes, hermit crabs, clams and many many more.
Now we are back to Vancouver city near my brother's house. When in Vancity, we spending most time, Eat, Drink and Shop.
