We are kind of surprise, Brayden is a different person at home, careless, slowand messy. We always worry outside of home, how he do.
His dad monitor his homework everyday, and always found his work is messy andwith few careless mistakes.

Reading your comment about him make me very proud and emotional, Inever imagine my son can do so well, he sometime share how well he do butwith my traditional mindset, I always remind him to be humbleand it's not him to show off, but if it's from other person comment on hiswell being, that's is a true fact. My thought may be tooreserve or too conservative, I should praise him more.

My third day of new year is ruin!

It's New Year, and I didn't have a good start with my neighbour.
Especially the man in the family, Selfish and Ignorance!

He thinks he knows it all, and command about he knows what kind of women I am and knows that my husband style, he thinks he is the man in the family who has ball.
But he is just one small person with eyes that are lower on the ground!
I have no respect to this man and think I will ever be like before. I can't stand anyone who under estimate my family members and thinking they are best of all...

His kids and friend are outside playing on the ice rink at their backyard, they were banging the puck on the fence and wall, making loud noise at 10.30 at night, I kindly approached them that my kid have school tomorrow and I have work tomorrow too, He said he can't stop the kid having fun and I can call the police if I don't like it!!!!.

I am shot to see him acting this way, he seem a nice person all the while and this behavior is rude and what the ...

I knock on his door, his wife were polite and acknowledge with respect. then he budge in and explained after hearing me so upset.a guilty and a bully neighbor!...
I can't believe he said I attacked his kid, he went on and on all sort of nonsense, at last he said Junior Hockey game is on tonight, and Canada lost to Russia, their kid is mad so, they wants to play outside, I have to understand the culture, that's why he is mad when I asked them to be consider it's late playing at night! ( what don't I understand, the pass few weeks, almost every night he band on the backyard, making noises, turn on big spot light and we have not said a words, because we know it's important for their kids)
My replied was, "You look after your kid, what about mine? I too looking after my kid and family too!" what about my culture - my rest time culture??

We are humble and keep low profile family, but this was perceive as abnormal from the conversation???

He sees things and judge things, he is those people that judge it book by it cover.

I can't believe this man and I have no respect to him at all regardless he thinks he is the best father in the world - again this is from the conversation!.

Just ignorance, and a small man. He close off with new year wishes, fake! but this incident is big enough to black list him when he command that he knows me and judge my family!

I will be OK and will not let him ruin the rest of my year, this incident happened teaches me a good lesson and a reminder. We should always spend more or longer time with a person before we get closer to them and trust them. People tend to show their best, and if it's not really their real best, it will reveal in time, time can tell and it prove to me again, I was easily fool !

My trial and error - Nikon D5100

I finished my 2 days course for Basic DSLR..
Now I understand a little more about DSLR camera, taking pictures with right aperture, shutter speed with depth of field, I snap shoot some pictures because it's snowing this afternoon, trying to see if I can use A or S or P setting for shooting without using any AUTO FOCUS..

My dear husband bought me a nice camera, Nikon D5100.So, I was anxious to play and shoot pictures with my collections.
Most of the time, I have no clue on all the camera language, like what is AF, P.. and when or what setting for ISO, Aperture, , all I want is to shoot close up picture like picture in magazine or in other bloggers that post pretty pictures on their web page.
I have lots to learn, need to start from the basic..All these picture being touch up in my PSD, I just want to looks like a pro pictures, or picture that bright my day...

This is a hobby I am quite into it..

I took a short class in Michael Craft & Art last weekend on how to decorate Cake pops.
We practice on Rice Krispy first, then start to decorate it, it looks so nice and simple on the magazine or some blogger post, and it's not easy at all, trying to decorate with icing, sugar melt is quite a challenge..

I did some, but I am not ready to post those picture, but tonight, I practice deco on Marshmallow. and beside, it's Pot Luck tomorrow, I will let my colleague's to be the first to try it!
Poor team-mate... I am obsess in Cake pops but not good at decorating, so I draw....

It has been a while logging here..
There's so much happening, father is doing ok, not much better in health, but he is always a happy man to be with, my father never troble us, but it's us to feel sorry for him and wanting to do more for him to return his cares to us.

Eldest Sister, brothers and their wife were here to visit father, we were all busy to spent time as a family. These are precious time to have family together, I was happy to see them here but were so sad to see them leave...

Ar Boy is in Grade 4 now, met his teacher last week, the feedback was positive, I hope he will keep it up and prepare for middle school next year. Still can't discover his talents yet, I wish there is some, so I can help him to starts his future..
I was helping him on his school project, he needs to draw a potrait of himself, his art skill is terrible, only draw stick man, not artistic at all, so I got him practise to draw lines and circle for hour, then he started to learn how to draw..
I convince him to take art lesson, he resists, I said I will teach him, and he ran away... for sure he ain't got my genes in art...

Here's the digital photo art I did last weekend, it has been a while I touch my Wacom tablet and my photoshop.. these pictures are from last April, he is out-grow a little taller...

人生無常，珍惜身边人！
昨天，我照常帶抄米粉去医院给老爸吃，老爸吃東西時一向不喜欢帶假牙吃東西，我也像平時為怹準備食物在他面前，讓怹自己吃，我走開去弄其他的事‧
忽然一間老爸哽住，我拍他背後，不成，做CPR但是發覺老爸臉色越來越嚴重，臉开始變黑，我去救求，nurse 再做CPR，我抓緊老爸的手，叫他放鬆呼吸，怹很幸苦望着我。。。瞬間老爸停且呼吸！
幸好BLUE ER team冲進來接手做心肺復甦術 (CPR)，其他Nurse帶六神無主的我出去，我过了一陣大哭起耒，責怪自已太不小心為老爸準備食物了，也醒過來才知道最近老爸越越弱了，也很答易塞到，應该注意怹的食物要柔軟和小份，我哭不停，Nurse Assistant-Nadia 抱住我說相信神，别慌，安靜救神保佑，老爸会沒事！
我做我跪我求！....... 我也不段怪自己太不小心了。。。

過了十多分，他們告许我老爸走過大闕，开始呼吸了，他們讓我进去看老爸也不停勸我不闕我事，老人家很常给食物窒到的。。。

看見老爸死去活來，我心才定心.........

我用了多時才能消化整个过程，幸好老公和兒子陪我，二姐接到我通知來探老爸，我才回家休息，不过回到家也很自責，眼晴很腫脹頭很痛。。。。。老公仔仔安慰我。。

今天一早老公叫我立刻一起去看老爸，讓我知道老爸会没事的，可以令我心好過。

果然今天老爸好過昨天了，我陪怹一陣子和餵怹喝些supplement和Sarsi....老爸最愛。。。

我心平復了一点点。。。

boyboy 9th birthday

Boyboy 9th birthday today.. I let him chose his Birthday cake for the first time, he picked ice-cream cake with Picachu cartoon on it..

I leave work early today, thinking to have an early dinner and after his piano lesson, we could have cake celebration, but .. his dad coming home late, forgot his promise to come early from work, then one sister did not show up on time or call..

I was busy with his homework, his school assignment due tomorrow, and cooking, preparation.. some more my boy don't listen when I coach him on the assignment.
Firstly, he asks for help yesterday, usually it's his dad responsibility, but he is very busy with work and he needs rest, so today, I got my colleague's to help checking his draft copy, I help prepared the info, print out some picture and we wrote down some facts and points for him to refer to, but this little fellow comment when I give suggestion but being a brat and a selective listener, and his attitude is unacceptable.

I got mad, I am frustrated of all the happenings, the whole night is ruin! I thought I am organized, plan ahead, helpful, but they all ruin it by not showing up on time, not listen and no help at home..

I walk away very mad, I called sister don't come in cause it's late, ArBoy go to bed by 9pm, and I have no more mood, I comment she is late and not plan her time..
Then, I bitch to the air about no help today, Arboy shown no respect to his mother, no responsibility, someone have no time management, I work like a slave and yet no one appreciate! Whining me!

Ar boy fear when I am angry, he asks for forgiveness, it did not just extinguish my anger, I express my anger, mad, and go on and on whining.. his dad stay away to wait until I cool down, but Arboy stay and hug and cried to beg for forgiveness and hold me tight, I am sure he don't understand it's not all his fault, I just explore all at once....

I cried with him ! I hug him and I am thankful my little fellow is always know how mommy feel and never scare to approached me and comfort me..

To my boy - Happy 9th birthday, I love you, we will make it up on this Friday when there's no school and work next day.

两個人一起走過了多年，仍然互相扶持，一起共同建立我們的家和兒子的未來，老伴在結婚當天對我的承諾幔慢慢的一件一件的達成，真是一件不容易事。謝謝他無限的爱我、兒子、我的家人和朋友。

相信俩人一起生活一定要努力和有共同信念就能互特到老，我們也用了很長時间體会和明白這道理呢！每天都學習和去領悟夫妻之道。。。。

Time is moving so fast, 3 quarters of the year 2010 has gone by..
and it's Fall already....

I have being so busy since Ar Boy new school year started this September, because hubby started working full time ( the only thing I am cheerful about because after 2 years of unemployed, and he decided going back school to change career. Now, he is finally employed with his new career field). So, now, I have to get Ar Boy ready in the morning, drop him to school. Lucky us that one of his classmate's aunt's is helping us to fetch him after school.
Then I head out to my work. In the evening, come home to cook and prepare for next day.. repeat this cycle everyday.. Bed time for Ar boy is 9, and us is 10pm...

Father still in hospital waiting for a bed in Long term care nursing home, my sisters and I is taking turn to visit him daily, but Sis E is not feeling well after the car accident, fortunately Sis M is helping out a lot...
The pass few months was quite down because of all this worrisome happening..

Basically, every weekday, from 7am to 9pm, these time is all occupied with busy task..

I am tired, physically and emotionally.......

I had some free time today decided to pick up the camera to shoot some outdoor pictures and my Wacom Pen is kind of lonely for many many months.

I keep hope that thing will come around better when father is settle to new nursing home where it's close to our home.. and sister's is settle with her new place where it's also closed to us!

My Chinese writing pen is down, can't write my Chinese Text! :(

AhBoy had a Head injury at School today..

Poor Baby run too fast and hit his class mate's water bottle, a big cut, he cried a bit, good thing Daddy is there to check on him, soon it's bandage, he off to the field to play and forgotten the pain. To be safe, I told daddy to have Dr.Chin check on him..
He was quite ok when I saw him.. he show me the bandage and telling me the whole story about how things happened...
God Blessed us, and thank God just a minor accident.. but it already frick me out!.. I guess it's a Nature of being a mom.

Every Friday after school, father and son will browse the pet/Aquarium store looking for sea creatures, and they bought home this little creature.... Electric Flame Scallop..

Every Weekend, Ah Boy like to have half cook egg (medium rare) for his morning breakfast, I train him to eat when he was little, I told him most of the Malaysian like to eat this for breakfast.
To flavor the egg, add a touch of white pepper and soya sauce, it's ready to serve! Don't forget to serve with Toasted or Steam Kaya bread.. Yumm

I just had my mini dream vacation, I went back to Kuala Lumpur Malaysian a month ago, I got to spend precious time with my dear family, and friends. The purpose of this trip is to attend my dearest sister daughter - JC wedding. I was thrill with the event and so happy to get to see and hug all my dearest family members, the fun part is I participate to organized the party.. :)

The best part about this trip is my son came with me and it's his first trip to visit where his mom was born and raised. It's not a just a vacation, it's one of his highlight of his life ,I hope he will hold on those precious moments, memorable exploration on other side of the world where his mom, aunts always talk about.
He spent great fun time with his new friends and hope he will always remembered all my close family. I consider this is one of my priceless treasures to him, and hope he will always be contented with memories and time he had spent there.

A Dream Vacation to me is - United with all my close family my siblings, of course with their own family too.

I find when you get older, you most memorable highlight of your life is your childhood, no brainier time. To capture the flash back and warmest time that gone by, sharing the cherish moment, laughing the olden days, and your parent is around to listen, to participate the conversation.. ..

People said " Life is about the journey, not about destination !" I treasured my childhood journey, I cherish now and look forward to the future, hope to bring the same to my child, my family and to the children I love...

Snowing this weekend, Took this picture outside the deck, and wanna to share with family and friends in Malaysia. We miss them very much!

Sunday Sweets - I cook the pumpkin Sweets again this weekend, and it taste better than last week, because it's has different level of texture and with the tapioca added this time, I am quite satisfy ! Yummm.

大家姐買了好多Malaysian cook book，hawker delights or Malaysian Authentic cook book俾我，之前好多時侯也會整D系Calgary 吃唔到的家鄉食品‧最近少D‧
今日心血來潮整左其中有味 - 碗仔糕‧尤於我比较懒，有D 步驟就改掉來千就自己做法‧‧‧

而我就簡單post两張我的pieces...There is no Malaysian restaurant in Calgary, there are days I love and miss the food very much, but have no place to ease my craving for Malaysian food!
My Oldest sister's bought me many Malaysian Local food cook books, years ago, I will make it a lot for myself and family, but lately, I got busy with family and work, I just got lazy even when I craving the food,, just don't have the energy..
This weekend, I craved the flavor of Malaysian Rice Cake. Since my father is staying a weekend with me, I did make the effort to make it. I make some changes to accommodate my laziness style, eliminate some steps and make it easier to prepare...

To eliminate my boy playing computer and video game, I push him to play outside, give him award for spending more time outside playing. He tried, but he is bore playing by himself, he constantly come back in and forward just to earn the time to claim his award, I know he don't enjoy his outdoor adventure. Back my time, I wish to play outside everyday... well, mind you it's cold here and playing by yourself is bore!
He asked if he can help me cooking, I thought, why not, I show him using knife for chopping, and to my surprise, he did very well. I gave him a real knife to chop the food. I know, it's dangerous, but in order to learn, I must learn to trust him and it's the only way to experience.I lectured him the rules of cooking. Cleanness, Safety and Patient!
He enjoyed it very much! He even learned to stir fry.
I am jotting down his very first cooking lesson, His first time cooking meal - and he named it - HeiHei Fried Rice - at age of 7.

為着不要仔仔周日只顧住玩遊戲機，虽然只準佢每日只玩一个钟的遊戲機，但我哋鼓勵叫佢出边玩多D，不过因为無伴玩不久就番屋企坐，佢見我系厨房做野就要末求帮手‧
初時教佢切野，切下切下之後又話要學炒野，見佢守三大原则做得唔错(我話入厨房三大手則-安全｜耐勞｜清潔)手勢也做得唔错，就俾佢學炒，仔仔學煮炒饭，非常好，但這一个mood又会last幾柰呢！暂时也好过打機啦！

今天工友大吵，我做和事婆，将多方面積聚的怒氣開門見山灘晒出來，我捉大家清楚地講！stop feeding info, stress and fight..

我公正旣！不滿懶果个用巧語講佢知，希望佢檢討，因为佢影響整个部门。
做得好旣，除左讚揚，也要有溝通好，整識心嬲他人懒，積買積買咪爆炸就出口伤人囉！

幸好最终大家明白同諒解，互相握手有共識，協議做好自己！

我衷告大家只要将今天工作鴿手鴿脚做好，再蛇黄都無人話啦！理由好簡單，有工开才有饭食呀！

後來同事們多謝我，另一个同事hug 我話我糸這部门Mommy, look after people.. 我就話..
有時人與人之间時不時互相提点，正面去处事，心平氣和，做人就会开心D，日子也好过！

最近喜欢用Tortilla皮 ( 墨西哥玉米粉薄烙餅 ) 做California roll for 仔仔番学既Lunch。
材料同喰Sushi的加州卷一样簡單：有牛油果啦、青瓜、子菜，蟹肉同玉米粉薄烙餅(Tortilla)，再加日本Mayo更好味！)

Lately I like to make California roll with Tortilla wrap for my boy lunch.
I use Japanese mayo because that's the only Mayo I use at home! Ingredient is the same as California Sushi roll - imitation crab meat, cucumber, tortilla, avocado and seaweed.
Easy quick and best of all it's tasty!

Every 4 months, I will gather up with 2 good friends for girlfriend out night. usually to celebrate one of us birthday.
Yesterday, it was S. birthday, we spent a really good time eating, chatting and laughing out loud.. My way for stress therapy....昨天與两位好朋友去聚會，大談女人心經。(每逢其中一个生日就约出來談天說地，大约四個月聚一起，而大家的老公就看小孩)。
差不多十二時回家，非常累，回家立該冲涼睡觉，上牀時仔仔醒來了，他問："媽咪，今日你哋去左边度食嘢？食的好唔好呀？"
"我哋去吃sushi，之後去饮嘢.."
仔仔好開心咁反應..哦...
我涗:"夜啦！快D訓啦！"
心想、阿仔好乖哦！廷會關心妈咪，sweet!

公司人事麻烦多多...
可能你也想不到，我工作的地方是其中一間分公司，只有八個同事，而分成两派(不包括我與另一位女同事)，一派死講死懒、另一派算是勤力不過時间觀念比較差！
双方都有心病...今天两派又出事.....今日重攪到Nathan向我訢苦而哭了起來......這位同事工作與同事之間都不開心，加上爸爸忽然離世，按住伤悲了幾个月，终於broke down and cries....
我给了他一个大姐姐Hug.......我小管閒事、不過在這情形，人是軟弱的，给一个Hug一些關心是應該的！
这两派分成四比二，全是男人组ler！而公司只有我和另一位女生是無偏無黨！不八卦！不參與！不是一向女人最多事咩？世界變了、或者多幾个女同事、情况又不同了,,,,,
不過如有影響到我，我会也曾站起來說實話！draw a line...
虽然我被大家稱为我是 easy to get along 好脾氣同事，其實呀已交了很多年人生学費才能磨練成現在的我！
原來PEACE是一門不易做的学問咧！

When I heard the news from Yoon See, Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow.

Time flies.. the Prince is Seven in few days!

Happy Birthday, my son!

Note: He posed all this action for me because I directed him.
I wanted to make a special birthday card for him. I visualize him climbing on number seven, so I got him to pretend he is climbing.
In the actions, he was climbing on the sofa, jumping up and down, running around, standing still ( no more than 10 seconds, of course!) just like little monkey monkeying around...
We have lots of fun playing while taking pictures. We giggle, we shout CUT /Retake and make a mess... He did not complain this time (he dislike pose too long for pictures) because he too wants to be a Director and direct me to pose for him!
Of course, I do as I told, because I knew...

This will be the moment that last forever..........

CUBE SIZE FRENCH TOAST

Lately, I love making french toast for breakfast, I enjoy cooking but with busy work at work, I only cook in the weekend now! But I love making this dish because it's tasty and easy!
I bought a whole bread without any slice to pieces.
I cut them about 2 1/2" thick, and divided by into 4 pieces, I soak the cube bread into the egg, sugar, milk mixture. Next, Heat the pan and butter the pan, and slowly pan fry the bread on all 6 sides.....
Serve with maple syrup.........
